Intermediate Footabllers Outrun Dohenys
Last Wednesday night we had Dohenys at home on a cold night. Pa O’Driscoll took control of the game in the heavy pitch. Dohenys travelled up after last year we took the trip down. Since the last time we had met Dohenys had gathered up some fine young footballers and were coming to get some momentum of their own. Fermoy got off to the better start but was short lived until dohenys found the net after 7minutes. This only acted as a catalyst for the Fermoy lads as they took control pointing 4 before reply. The half ended 1-7 to 1-4. The second half started Fermoy continuing to find the target with 4 points and a goal. The game was now 2-11 to 2-5 but in the last 10minuts with subs being put in to close out the game Dohenys received a penalty that was hard to see what had went wrong in the square. 2-15 would be Fermoys tally for the game but with the last kick of the ball being another Dohenys penalty the game ended 4-5 to 2-15.
