Fermoy Camogie Club-first blitz!!

6 training sessions in, 21 girls who have only learned the basics, up against two teams who are much more experienced- to say I was nervous would be an understatement.

However, my nerves were quickly eased by 21 strong, enthusiastic, determined girls, who went out on to the pitch for both matches and played like a team who have been playing together for years.

Tearing into challenges, no standing back, using all the skills they have learned in training so far but most importantly encouraging each other the entire time! Although the score lines didn't go our way, the girls never gave up and defended until the end.

St. Fanahan's have contacted me since to commend the girls on the amazing teamwork!!! It really was second to none- I couldn't have asked more of them today, they were outstanding.
